So, I had a bit of a shambles morning…late getting up, late out the door. And in the frenzy I left my cellphone in the apartment, making it impossible for me to present a video of our grand final day. Cruel, cruel fate!
However! I have taken mouse to Windows Paint and created an extremely faithful recalling of today’s events. Kalin and I enjoyed crunchy chicken salad at DQ and I was faced with the enormous temptation of DQ fries–fries I love so much I wrote a valentine to them on this very blog not so long ago.
So now, here it is–a 100% factual, as it happened, graphic novella of today’s salad lunch:
Now that Salad Week is over, I feel I should share some final thoughts, Jerry Springer-style.
You know, salad is a great meal. Healthy, nutritious, and with as many different varieties as there are people to enjoy them. But so often we are reminded to enjoy things in moderation…and I think the same goes for salad. Instead of one Salad Week, how about one salad day every week? A healthy diet, just like a happy life, thrives on change and variety.
Till next time…take care of yourself. And each other.
And now, a word from Ed Herlihy!
